Before a soccer match, I was craving a simple dish like Khao Man Ghai and discovered that Pop Pop Thai seemed like a solid place to try KMG. I'm always impressed by how good this dish is based off its appearance. It's just an unassuming combo of chicken, rice, and soup but it's so delicious and the chicken is juicy and tender. The rice is good alone because it's cooked from chicken broth and completing the bite with the sauce and soup gives me LIFE! I also love that they have a spice rack that carries pickled jalapeños, spicy fish sauce, sambal, and fried chili flakes! The cucumbers served with the kmg was very bitter and wasn't sure if it was supposed to be that way or just old... 4/5 My bf ordered the garlic chicken noodle and it came out hot and very flavorful. It was a little too fishy for me but I loved that it was a pad kee mao noodle and the dishes were so colorful. 4/5 Above all, the atmosphere was simple and the lady was tacit yet attentive. This is definitely a family run business that I will continue to support.

Very enjoyable experience at Pop Pop in Bitter Lake. Food was tasty, came quickly and portions were generous. We had a papaya salad (definitely for sharing) and an entree each. We took some home because it was too much to eat! The service was efficient - it wasn't busy, but our server made sure we had plenty of water and our food was to our liking. Don't expect fantastic ambiance - there are a lot of supplies piled up in a corner of the space, but it is clean and I have no complaints. It's a nice neighborhood small business. Recommended.

We came a few minutes before closing and they were kind enough to still take our takeout order. It only took 10mins for them to prepare the order. The braised pork leg was so tender. There was a broth on the side, and I liked dunking the pork in the broth for maximum juice and flavor. The greens were just steamed & pickled. Nothing to write home about, but balanced the meal. The pad thai was good - my husband enjoyed it. Would definitely come back to try more dishes next time.
